      Description
Cassandra LOVES school so much she never, ever wants to leave!

Cassandra does not want to go home from school. She stays after the nice teacher leaves. She stays while the janitor with a tattoo mops the floors. She stays after the slightly scary principal turns off all the lights and goes home. She plays with the clay and reads until after dark, when her mom and dad realize she is missing and come in a panic to take her home.

The next day, Cassandra gets up, eats breakfast, gets on her bike and heads off to school but it is Saturday and all the doors and windows are locked. So on her way back home she stops by the store and places an order.

The next day she looks out the window to find her purchase has been delivered — there is a brand-new red-brick school with a nice teacher, a slightly scary principal, and a janitor with tattoos in her very own backyard, so she can have school any time she likes!

This story was written for Cassandra, a girl from Pickering, Ontario who said that the most interesting thing about her was that she LOVED school!

Leonardo has been making people laugh since he was a baby – when the teacher asks him to stop being the class clown, can he do it?

Leonardo has been funny since he was born: he was a funny baby, he was a funny toddler, he was a funny first-grader. But now, his teacher Mrs. Gomez asks him to stop being funny so that the class can learn. He tries his best, but he just has to make a funny face, then tell a funny joke, and then show a funny drawing – with predictable results. And when he finally seriously promises faithfully never to be funny again, he makes the teacher laugh so hard she falls down on the floor laughing!

A fresh, new look for this Must-Have Munsch story!

On their way home from a field trip, the class meets a famous writer who says he is looking for a kid to put in a book. Hailey volunteers, so the writer flattens her out, folds her up, and stuffs her in. But Hailey feels folded and scrunched and trapped and stuck, and asks the kids to get her out of the book. They try all kinds of things, but nothing works, until finally they have an idea and turn the tables on the famous writer!

Put Me in a Book! was inspired by a project that a grade two classroom in North Bay created and mailed to Robert Munsch — now they really ARE in a book!
