      Description
Can I Mix You A Drink? is a high-end liquor guide inspired by Grammy Award-winning Platinum artist T-Pain’s hit songs, blending innovative drinks with humorous anecdotes that only T-Pain can deliver.

In 2007, “rappa ternt sanga” T-Pain released his hit single “Can I Buy U A Drank (Shawty Snappin’),” propelling the artist to mainstream royalty. Since then, the Tallahassee, Florida native has secured his position as one of the most successful and diverse hip-hop artists in the world. It all started, really, with a song about liquor. T-Pain’s extensive career has been punctuated by libations. It’s been a part of his music, his business acumen (having secured a number of ambassador deals with liquor brands like Jose Cuervo), and his overall persona. Now, T-Pain brings his love of mixology and music in book form, titled Can I Mix You A Drink? Working with Mixologist Maxwell Britten,  former Bar Director to Brooklyn’s James Beard Award Winning Maison Premiere, T-Pain sets cocktails to music. Each drink has been carefully curated to reflect a sentiment from one of his hit songs. Drink by drink, T-Pain explores levels of new flavors (and potencies) to create a work that can be used for parties, local bars, pre-gaming before the club, or even just a quiet night at home. It’s nearly impossible not to hear T-Pain’s music and sense of humor as you read through the black and gold pages. Each drink is uniquely curated and titled after a T-Pain song. Considering T-Pain is known for unorthodox mixes in his music, expect the same from his drinks, along with some classic cocktails modified by T-Pain himself. The book is woven together with anecdotes from T-Pain about his life and lessons while inebriated, offering an irresistibly hilarious take on a mixology book experience. The faux leather hard cover is laced in gold foil with an embossed monogram of T-Pain himself, and each glossy page brings high-end drink photography that matches the caliber of the drink recipes. Whether you’re a fan of T-Pain or a fan of drink-making, Can I Mix You A Drink? is the cocktail book for you.

“Setaro’s understanding of Tekashi 6ix9ine is unparalleled. His comprehensive reporting on Tekashi’s rise and fall, and what this says about fame today, is richly developed with sharp-witted prose.”

      — Victoria Bekiempis, reporter, Vulture, The Guardian, The New York Times

“In this riveting account, Shawn brings rigorous research and startling insight to bear, giving us a meticulous portrait not just of 6ix9ine but the larger forces and tensions that shaped both him and our frenzied celebrity culture.”

Adam Mansbach, #1 New York Times bestselling author of Go the Fuck to Sleep and Rage Is Back.

“The world gawks at Tekashi 6ix9ine. But Shawn Setaro gives the viral rap star something he needed but never really had: true attention. Setaro rivets us, but with a different telling of Tekashi’s story, with dogged reporting, vivid prose, and surpassing empathy.”

Dan Charnas, author of The Big Payback: The History of the Business of Hip-Hop

”Shawn Setaro tells Tekashi 6ix9ine’s convoluted story with compassion, honesty and precision…and without sensationalism or condescension. A fascinating and – believe it or not – educational read.“

Joseph Schloss, Author of Making Beats: The Art of Sample-Based Hip-Hop and Foundation: B-Boys, B-Girls & Hip-Hop Culture in New York.

Shawn Setaro unravels the twisted tale of hiphop’s troll king, through a relentless investigation of New York’s dark underbelly. He is an unlikely connoisseur of Brooklyn’s gang culture, and his work is roadmap for all of us media tourists dropping in for a view.“ Vikram Gandhi, Director, ’69: The Saga of Danny Hernandez’

”Setaro’s book is an unexpectedly thoughtful examination of a mostly unredeemable individual. And it raises a number of fascinating questions. Perhaps most important of all: Who’s worse, the villain himself, or those who enable, amplify or consume his villainy?“

Zack O’Malley Greenburg, author of We Are All Musicians Now

”Calling Tekashi 6ix9ine a controversial figure would be an understatement. Of all the deep dives constructed around the story of Hip-Hop’s Least Favorite Snitch, Shawn Setaro’s exhaustive and empathetic reporting is the only text worth reading." - Dylan Green, Contributing Editor, Pitchfork and host of the ’Reel Notes’ podcast

      Description
      Foreword by Snoop Dogg

A collection of 50 delicious worldwide mac n’ cheese recipes from two chefs who have graduated from paper to cloth napkins. With Mac N’ All Over The World, the Trap Kitchen franchise goes global.

Three years after the release of their first cookbook Trap Kitchen: Bangin’ Recipes From Compton and a whirlwind of success later, former rival gang members turned famous chefs Malachi “Spank” Jenkins and Roberto “News” Smith are back with a second serving. Trap Kitchen: Mac’N All Over The World will combine the soul of macaroni and cheese from the heart of Compton with the flavors of regions around the world. From a business that started selling plates through their living room window via Instagram ads to now having multiple food trucks and even a brick and mortar store, Mac’N All Over The World continues where the first cookbook left off, inspiring people from all walks of life to follow their passion no matter what the odds are. And following a year like 2020, the message hits that much harder. It’s not just Jenkins and Smith whose lives changed since the last cookbook, either; they’ll explain how platinum-selling, Grammy nominated rapper Roddy Ricch went from delivering plates for Trap Kitchen just a few years ago to now being one of their most frequent customers. And of course, mac n’ cheese is his favorite - much like a lot of Trap Kitchen’s celeb clientele. Just like last time, the cookbook will take another deep dive into the journey of Trap Kitchen’s growth since they first made their mark in the literary world.
      Bio
Malachi Jenkins and Roberto Smith are childhood friends from neighboring rival gangs, brought together by their two passions: food and girls. Today, they are the cofounders and owners of Trap Kitchen. The underground culinary experience was completely fueled off Instagram. Their colorful past has made them media darlings, having appeared on the Today show, Martha & Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party, VICE, Fox 11 News, and BET.

Having worked in some of New York’s finest kitchens, from Le Bernadin to Rouge Tomate to Momofukko, over a decade in the New York restaurant scene has culminated in a versatile cooking style which reflects contributor Nicholas Porcelli’s training in Asian, new American, and classical French cuisines.

SLMN lives off the grid. He is a ghost. There are those who want him dead. He lives a life on the move, just him and his Ducati Monster, driving from town to town. He rarely settles in one place for more than a few weeks at a time before he feels the need to move on. He doesn’t own a phone, a computer or other trackable device. In one life he has fought injustice wherever he has seen it, spending several years in developing nations helping those who couldn’t for whatever reason help themselves. He worked on projects to bring fresh water to areas without it, to provide sex and health education and secure vital aid in war torn regions. He has served on peace-keeping forces, campaigned against the deployment of landmines, and in the last decade devoted his life to ecological issues—most notably combating the illegal trade in endangered species. He has witnessed atrocities no man should ever see, and glimpsed the secret inner workings of the world run by the rich and powerful, making him enemies of some of the most dangerous men in the world. Never once has he walked away from a fight. In another life, SLMN has produced a number of movies and is both a New York Times and USA Today Bestselling Author.
