The Cellophane Sky: Jazz Poems is an exciting collection of poems that delves deeply into the remarkable world of jazz. This striking volume effortlessly draws the reader in, exhaling the vitality of jazz greats such as Duke Ellington, Charlie Parker, Count Basie, Miles Davis and many more. Here is a book for both jazz fans and poetry readers as it pays tribute to jazz's great voices, with poems that throb with the vivid rhythm and energy of the jazz tradition. Park's passion for jazz comes through with writing that ranges in tone from mournful elegy to sheer celebration. The collection will also include an introductory essay, and insightful "liner notes" by the author.

Jeff Park works in a variety of genres, including short fiction, and playwriting. His poetry was featured in Fast Forward: New Saskatchewan Poets, from Hagios Press in 2007. He has published a book on writing theory, entitled Writing at the Edge: Narrative and Writing Process Theory. He is a professor in the Faculty of Education at the University of Saskatchewan.
