This interstellar box set celebrates crewed space missions from 1961 to the present. It includes two decks of playing cards printed on high-quality, flexible, and durable stock used in professional paper playing card decks. An accordion booklet includes rules for 10 family-friendly card games and cosmic trivia, making it the perfect gift for science lovers, students, game geeks, and more.

From the inaugural space race of Vostok vs. Mercury to the famed Apollo program to the International Space Station, this set of real playing cards celebrates Earth’s history of intergalactic travel. Each face card features historical space suits, vessels, missions, and more, and a game rules booklet designed to look like a space shuttle flight manual rounds out the set.

FORMAT DETAILS: This boxed set is similar in construction to The Illuminated Tarot: a hinged box containing two 54-card playing decks (including two Jokers in each deck) and an accordion booklet that lies on top. The box will be wafer-sealed with a removable sticker on the back for the copy and barcode.

POTTER’S FIRST SET OF PLAYING CARDS: This is Potter’s first foray into real playing cards, which are printed on the same flexible, durable (what’s called “black core”) stock with textured paper graining that’s used for regulation playing cards. The booklet includes easy rules for classic card games along with fascinating facts about space and the history of space exploration.

INTEREST IN SPACE IS TAKING OFF: The National Air and Space Museum currently welcomes more than 8 million visitors a year, making it the most visited museum in the country. With the launch of the Silicon Valley Space Center and millenials’ nostalgia for NASA, (whose images and logo grace T-shirts sold at hipster retailers like Urban Outfitters), these handsomely illustrated products are launching at just the right time.
