A dauntless lass and a hyperactive dragon learn to keep pace with each other as they forge a friendship.

Baby Dragon loves to swoop and soar through the kingdom, which can cause quite a stir. But one little girl is up for the challenge of spending the day with Baby Dragon, and the two embark upon an exciting journey through the kingdom, where they run and race and climb and explore—and eventually even take the time to relish a quiet moment. New York Times bestselling author Melissa Marr has crafted a rollicking story about how the best friendships expand our horizons in all kinds of ways!

NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLING AUTHOR! And the author of our popular Bunny Roo, I Love You

TALENTED NEW ARTIST: In her debut picture book, Lena Podesta brings readers wonderfully varied perspectives, funny scenes (including hilarious reactions of various adults to the dragon’s antics), and a truly loveable dragon.

AUTHOR’S PERSONAL INSPIRATION: Melissa Marr’s little boy can be hyperactive and difficult to calm, and her love for her energetic little one really shines through in the character of the exuberant baby dragon (and her boy has seen the art and claims the little girl is his mommy because she is his best friend, and has a sword!).

RELATABLE STORY IN A FANTASTICAL SETTING: They might not live in kingdoms full of dragons, castles, and knights, but this sweet story of a feisty little one and his more easygoing best friend is sure to earn cheers from kids and smiles of recognition from parents.

WONDERFUL FRIENDSHIP STORY: The little girl and dragon find their friendship brings out new sides in each of them—our heroine relishes the excitement of exploring with Baby Dragon, while he learns to relish the moments with her.

Melissa Marr also wrote the picture book Bunny Roo, I Love You. She writes fiction for adults, teens, and children. Her books have been translated into twenty-eight languages and have been bestsellers internationally as well as on the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, USA Today, and Wall Street Journal bestseller lists in the United States. She is best known for the Wicked Lovely series for teens and the Graveminder series for adults. She lives in Arizona with her ever-growing list of children and pets.
