Drawn one panel per day over a year, follow the story of three boys who discover a shallow grave while on a weekend camping trip.

But that’s just where the mystery begins. The unexpected find reveals a cigar box containing seven mysterious items: a knife, a coin, a pocket watch, a rare baseball card, a gold ring, a silver spoon, and a strange manga comic. How are these items connected? Whose body lies buried? Find out as IDW and Dan Fraga bring you a once in a lifetime tale of friendship, mystery, suspense, and growing up: The Grave.

Publication History: TR original

The panel-a-day release format took serialized storytelling to the extreme, and allows for a fascinating look at the artistic process, as the creator’s style shift minutely over the course of the year.

Dan Fraga is a film director and comic book artist. He was hired fresh out of high school by Image Comics in 1991 and worked for Extreme Studios. His interest in animation started at an early age, when his parents bought him a Fisher-Price Movie Viewer, then comics which inspired him to make flip books. He started drawing story boards for The Hard Times of RJ Berger and made a one-minute pilot animation which became a television series screened on MTV.
