The Pacific Northwest has distinctive maritime culture, and this book is perfect for anyone who wants to share their love of boats with a young person in their lives.

Boating is one of the most popular family activities in the Pacific Northwest.

There are fun tie-ins to boating celebrations in the Pacific Northwest such as Portland’s dragon boat races and Seattle’s opening day for boating season.

Boating is a sport that the very youngest of children (board-book audience) can and do take part in, whether it’s canoeing with the family or paddling their very first sit-on-top kayak.
