  • Short Description
The whole family is crammed into Bubbie Rose and Bubbie Ida Flora’s apartment to celebrate Passover. The room is small, but love is abundant and the search for the afikomen is on!
Whatever you search for, it’s always in The Last Place You Look.

Bubbie Rose and Bubbie Ida Flora love hosting their entire extended family for Passover. The table is laden with food, the apartment is bursting with people and love. But, the Seder can’t end without the afikomen (the last piece of matzah) and nobody knows where it is. The children search high and low, in places likely and unlikely, in smelly places and tasty ones. They find many other missing things, but not the afikomen. Working together, and a willingness to laugh at ourselves will help us find the things we could not find alone.

Key Selling Points

  • Celebrates Passover with enough specifics to be relevant to a Jewish reader, while gently introducing words to non-Jews.
  • This book shows love in action, we see an older lesbian couple, a single parent, chosen family, people who use she, they or them pronouns welcomed and accepted and held in love.
  • The author hosts similar Seders with their family and friends.
