Joshua Goudie's work has been published in The Telegram as well as The Cuffer Anthology, Volumes IV and V. In 2012 he was twice shortlisted for the Cuffer Prize with his short story, "Satsuma and Cigarettes", placing second in the competition. The following year he was shortlisted for the Newfoundland and Labrador Credit Union Fresh Fish Award, one of the most generous prizes given in Canada to an emerging, unpublished writer. Born in Grand Falls-Windsor, he now lives in St. John's. Joshua holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in theatre from Sir Wilfred Grenfell College. As a break from writing Joshua is frequently found behind a drum kit playing with some friends in a local 'downtown band'.

Craig Goudie has been working as a visual artist, graphic designer and muralist for over 35 years. In that time, he has been steadily producing work for galleries and community public spaces, serving on local and provincial arts-related boards and teaching art to students of all ages. His art work hangs in numerous government, corporate and private collections; his mural work can be found in central Newfoundland and St. John’s. Craig has illustrated two previous children’s books: Jack and the Hurricane (2014) and Jack and the Magnificent Ugly Stick (2016). Craig has lived and worked in many places around Newfoundland and Labrador, all of them wonderfully distinct—all of them proudly called “home”!

"... gorgeous illustrations and a fun story line work together to introduce young readers to a traditional Newfoundland instrument that's bound to capture their imaginations and spark their creativity." Sarah Sawler, Atlantic Books Today
