Holiday mischief abounds in this third book in the  series that feels like The Secret Life of Pets meets Toy Story—now in paperback!

Are the Good Dogs up for a holiday-sized mission?

The holidays are coming! All of the doggy day care friends can’t wait for eight nights of Hanukkah prezzies and cozy Christmases at home. But then Hugo learns that Waffles, his new puppy sister, is expecting someone called Santadoodle to bring them all presents on Christmas morning. Hugo has never even heard of Santadoodle!

Of course, Hugo doesn’t want Waffles to be disappointed, so there’s only one thing to do—rally his friends for their biggest mission yet!

Luckily, these Good Dogs are always up for an adventure!

WHAT YOUNG MIDDLE-GRADE READERS WANT: Highly illustrated fiction is exactly what kids love, and this series is perfect for those looking for something more advanced than chapter books but not quite ready for picture-free reading.

DOGS ARE A CONSTANT KID FAVORITE: Kids can’t seem to get enough of stories about humans’ four-legged friends. With series such as Dogman and Dog Diaries retaining their popularity, the Good Dogs add to an evergreen canon of doggy-stories kids continue to flock to.

SOME RULES ARE MADE TO BE BROKEN, BUT NOT ALL: Our dogs learn that while perfection isn’t always necessary, some rules can keep you and those that you love safe and happy.

IRRESISTIBLE AUTHOR DUO: Rachel and David have both worked in comedy for over a decade, and their comedic chemistry is undeniable even through a screen at virtual events.

ONE OF A KIND ILLUSTRATIONS: Tor’s expressive, quirky illustration style, compared to that of her hero, William Steig, adds layers to the dogs’ hilarity.

Praise for Good Dogs on a Bad Day:

“Equal parts hilarious and hair-raising, adventures abound, enlivened by expressive cartoon illustrations. The bright, energetic narration flows seamlessly among the dogs’ delightfully distinctive perspectives… This series starter is a doggone good time.” -Kirkus Reviews
