After New Skin, this book marks the second exhibition of the Aïshti Foundation, presented in its new building designed by David Adjaye and opened in October 2015.

The book includes an interview to Tony Salamé in which he discusses his passion for American art and culture.

It includes important works by John Baldessari and Allen Ruppersberg, Richard Prince and Raymond Pettibon, Lutz Bacher, Rachel Harrison, Klara Lidén, Joyce Pensato and Amanda Ross-Ho, George Condo, David Salle, Julian Schnabel.

Encompassing more than 2,000 pieces by various artists, the Tony and Elham Salamé Collection has grown at vertiginous speed throughout the last decade, establishing the Aïshti Foundation as one of the most energetic institutions in the Middle East and beyond.

Massimiliano Gioni is director of the Trussardi Foundation, artistic director of the New Museum in New York, and director of the Venice Biennale in 2013.
