Award-winning photographer Mike Grandmaison has photographed some of the most beautiful places in Canada. In his newest pictorial, Mike Grandmaison's Ontario, Mike turns his lens to the landscape he grew up in. Born in Sudbury, Ontario, Mike Grandmaison has travelled to every corner of this great territory and captured vistas that hardly seem possible, from the untamed wilderness of the Canadian Shield, to the rolling green of the Niagaras. With his eye for the extraordinary, Grandmaison will help readers discover Ontario's great outdoors.

In this handsome hardcover edition readers will find over 220 beautiful photographs of Ontario's diverse and spell-binding landscape. Readers will also delight in the photo note section that provides insight into the stories behind the images.

Mike Grandmaison's photography has been published worldwide in magazines, calendars, and books. With a background in biology, he worked for the Canadian Forest Service in Edmonton and Winnipeg for 17 years. Since he turned to photography full time in 1996, Mike has published six books of natural landscape photography, including Mike Grandmaison's Prairie and Beyond. In 2007 he was awarded second prize in the Northern Lights Awards Canada competition for Excellence in Travel Journalism.

Mike Grandmaison's Ontario is my Ontario. Every image in this collection takes me to a place I know, a place I've seen a thousand times, and yet a place I'm seeing as if for the first time. It's the Ontario I see when I close my eyes. Except for an occasional silo or lighthouse, it's the Ontario that has been here for 10,000 years, and now, thanks to these superb photographs, will remain with us for a long time to come.
-Wayne Grady
