An illustrated book of whimsical poems for children filled with true-to-life experiences in the world of a child. The poems appeal to the fantasy and imagination of the readers. The rhythmic flow of the poetic language encourages children to read, memorize and chant the poems many times over. This book is ideal for that special moment in the evening when a bedtime poem is just the right soother to close the day.

Arnot McCallum is a retired English Coodinator with the Greater Essex County District School Board. He is noted for his humorous and exciting presentations in elementary schools and appears regularly as a storyteller on the CBC radio show Crosstown. He is an energetic advocate for reading and writing and makes the pages of books come alive for children during his workshops. Arnot lives in Tecumseh, Ontario with his wife Marcy and his kitty cat Maggie.

“Eanie Meanie Hate Zucchini is an eclectic collection of humorous poems ranging in subjects from animals, such as dogs, owls and narwhals to family life, including camping, garage sales as well as a variety of other topics such as pocket money, bubble gum and nighttime issues. The poems, written in rhyming verse, are accompanied by colorful illustrations created by Charles Checketts. The illustrations complement the humor adding both colour and interest while the script writing fonts projects a casual mood. The poems in this collection offer expressive language and appealing imagery.” - Resource Links
