Rebecca North is the author of A Picnic at the Lighthouse and Elliot and the Impossible Fish, finalist for the Bruneau Family Children’s/YA Award Rebecca grew up in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and now lives in Kingston, Ontario. She is the mother of two young children and spends many hours reading and re-reading picture books.
Laurel Keating is a self-taught and award-winning artist whose illustration work has appeared in several children's books: Yaffle's Journey, Elliot and the Impossible Fish, Moose's Roof, and Full Speed Ahead: Errol’s Bell Island Adventure, to name a few. A native Newfoundlander and animal lover, she lives in Portugal Cove, which she has called home all her life.
