Alex Irvine is a former English professor and author of over 30 books and comic books. He lives in South Portland, Maine.

Illustrator Carlo Pagulayan is a freelance Filipino comic book artist. Pagulayan began his career in the comics business with a 3-page sequential for Dark Horse Comics, written by Doug Petrie, to aid the victims of the 9-11 attacks, and as a tribute to the fallen World Trade Center Twin Towers (2001). He has since had assignments for Marvel Comics, including Elektra, Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk, and most recently has worked on covers for DC Comics on titles such as Batman and Robin Eternal, Telos, Convergence, and Midnighter. He lives in the Philippines.
